Job Opportunity – Residential HVAC Installer

We are currently seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Installer in the Southwest Kansas area to join our team! In this role you will install and repair HVAC systems according to the manufacturer’s specifications, ensuring all work performed is done professionally, timely, and accurately according to all policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Install, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems
  • Ensure all HVAC systems remain compliant with industry standards and regulations
  • Maintain strong customer service and thorough communication with customers

Job Requirements

  • Journeyman Mechanical License
  • EPA Certified
  • Strong attention to details
  • Be available for on-call duty: nights and weekends
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Valid driver’s license
  • US work authorization

Physical Demands

We are currently seeking an experienced mid-to-senior level Mechanical Estimator to join our team!

The right candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical estimation and have the ability to analyze and evaluate all aspects of potential projects to set pricing to ensure Central Consolidated remains competitive and profitable. This person is motivated and looking to grow the business while managing quality and consistency of products and service delivery in accordance to Central Consolidated standards providing the customer with an exceptional experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the success of project procurement by preparing estimates for review by executive team
  • Perform drawing takeoffs, equipment and fixture counts, specification review, initiating pre-bid RFI’s and prepare all other direct project costs necessary for a complete and competitive estimate
  • Estimate design build projects, plan and spec projects along with conceptual budgets
  • Provide oversight on multiple project-estimates concurrently with ability to multitask
  • Facilitate effective communication and efficient manpower deployment within the estimating group in support of the company’s and project manager’s estimating efforts
  • Maintain and update master bid list
  • Track proposals and follow up with clients to determine price competitiveness
  • Participate in the search and selection of project opportunities
  • Develop and maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships
  • Coordinate and conduct preconstruction review meetings
  • Mentor junior estimators on estimation process and cross train to develop robust team
  • Analyze past performance of estimates compared to completed work and develop processes for better estimates

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Minimum 5 years Mechanical Estimating experience on commercial, healthcare and/or industrial projects
  • Previous design build experience preferred
  • QuoteSoft and FastPipe experience preferred
  • Demonstrate understanding of construction documents
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous experience working within leadership team preferred
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public
  • Must have good reading, writing, and arithmetic skills with strong attention to detail
  • Work requires significant local travel to client offices and jobsites which requires the possession of a valid state driver’s license.
  • Able to work independently or with others in a professional manner
  • Well-rounded knowledge of computers

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Engineers, Architects, etc. to determine specifications of the Project
  • Client development/relationships
  • Negotiating contracts with Vendors to reach profitable agreements
  • Lead, Manage, Accountability
  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
  • Plan and manage all construction operations
  • Determine required resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  • Responsible for bringing jobs in on time and at or under budget
  • Hire and coordinate subcontractors
  • Supervise work of foremen and give guidance when needed
  • Evaluate progress and report results to management
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain schedules and coordinate with assigned construction projects
  • Client Development/Relationships
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with Project Managers and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
  • Prepare and distribute all approved job documents to ensure compliance with construction drawings and specifications
  • Prepare and submit O&M’s and closing documents to GC’s and Owners upon job completion
  • Coordinate multiple departments for owner training/turnover

Onsite Responsibilities:

  • Timecard completion for crews
  • Support communication between PM and Foremen
  • Manage project documents (including submittals)

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, preferred
  • Minimum 2 – 4 years of experience in the Construction Industry, required
