We need a motivated person with a background in construction that is detail oriented and has experience reading blueprints to join our team! Experience in the fire sprinkler industry or piping experience will be advantageous for this position. Central Consolidated is the place to be!

Job Responsibilities

  • The search and selection of project opportunities.
  • Rough system piping layouts to generate quotes.
  • Utilize all perinate bidding documents and specifications to generate fire sprinkler quotes.
  • Provide oversight on multiple project-estimates concurrently with ability to multitask.
  • Facilitate effective communication and efficient manpower in support of the division.
  • Track proposals and follow up with clients to determine price competitiveness.
  • Develop and maintain subcontractor and vendor relationships.
  • Coordinate and conduct preconstruction review meetings.
  • Assist the project managers throughout the project.

Job Requirements

  • Background in construction required.
  • Computer knowledge/experience required.
  • Knowledge of National Fire Protection Association Codes, preferred.
  • Demonstrate understanding of construction documents.
  • Must have good reading, writing, and arithmetic skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public.
  • Work requires travel to client offices and project jobsites.
  • You must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Able to work independently or with others in a professional manner.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk and use hands and arms to examine materials, equipment and jobsite surveys.
  • The employee is occasionally required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, climb ladders, ride in and operate a scissor or boom lift.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust and focus.

The right candidate will be highly detailed oriented, accurate and organized; a self-starter who possess strong initiative to improve processes and procedures without waiting for specific instructions. This person will ensure a high-quality standard and consistency of service in their position in accordance to Central Consolidated standards providing the customer with an exceptional experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support Accounts Payable with invoice entry to Supervisor approval, verifying monthly statements
  • Accounts Receivable – apply payments to customers account, follow up with unpaid accounts, send out monthly statements and lien waivers
  • Reconcile gas and credit card statements
  • Screening phone calls for Officers of the company
  • Greeting visitors
  • Process city contractor licenses
  • New hire onboarding
  • Maintaining and ordering office supplies
  • Supporting other accounting staff as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years Accounting experience, preferred
  • Experience in commercial construction, preferred
  • Aptitude to learn and adapt quickly to changing technology
  • Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Must have good reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
  • Construction industry experience a plus
  • Maintain a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides oversight of all mechanical construction jobs, including coordination and allocation of resources to include people, tools and equipment to ensure construction jobs are performed to quality standards, on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and manage department budget with sustainable/profitable growth.
  • Evaluate team’s performance and development.
  • Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures.
  • Supervises Project Managers and Project Management Assistants to ensure mechanical construction jobs are performed to quality standards, on time and within budget.
  • Supervises Estimation functions for the purpose of ensuring timely bidding for mechanical construction jobs.
  • Manages customer relationships and expectations to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Performs administrative functions to ensure ongoing company operations.
  • Ability to interact with others inside and outside at all levels of the organization on a daily basis.
  • Obtaining information from others on a daily basis is necessary to complete job tasks.
  • Preparing reports for management is frequent.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines is required.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction engineering or equivalent experience, required.
  • Five to seven years construction management experience, required.
  • Minimum three years of supervisory experience, required.

We are currently seeking an experienced Controller to join our Wichita, KS team!

Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will be responsible for overall accounting oversight, including but not limited to, accurate and timely general ledger and technical accounting, management of billing, collections, accounts payable, payroll, oversite and development of the team, all review and tax matters, assist with budgeting and forecasting, assist with implementation and development of a scalable systems and internal controls. This role is a key role for the organization.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management and development of our Finance team and IT processes.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting including internal management reporting, and external reporting for covenants and other business partners as required
  • Lead monthly financial close and reporting process
  • Research technical accounting matters and prepare recommendations with respect to implementation of new or newly applicable accounting guidance
  • Have strong construction background would be preferred, versed from prior experiences in understanding cost, standards or rates, and evaluated opportunities to leverage profitability
  • Assist the CFO in leading the Company’s annual financial audit as well as other audits as required
  • Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual review and filings for tax compliance matters are completed on a timely and accurate basis
  • Work with CFO/other business partners regarding business system implementation/upgrade
  • Responsible for establishing, executing, monitoring, and enforcing appropriate internal controls and policies and procedures
  • Assist CFO with the annual budget preparation, monthly forecasting, analyzes financial results to determine recommended cash flow and operational and sales actions to meet goals
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions.
  • Maintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

  • Highly motivated, energetic, self-directed individual with good analytical and problem-solving skills including root cause and risk analysis methodologies
  • Diverse experience with financial systems
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, maintain attention to detail and recognize time constraints

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
