HVAC Renovation and Upgrade

The Ascension Health’s Via Christi St. Francis Hospital 7SW & 8SE project involved replacing the forty-year-old building infrastructure from the top down and to change the way St. Francis Hospital provides patient care.

This project has corresponded to replacement of air handling units as well all plumbing, medical gas piping, ductwork, chilled, and hot water piping throughout the space without affecting other patient areas.

This level of renovation also provided a unique opportunity to design and implement a state-of-the-art system to provide for optimum infection control. The space was also reconfigured to predominantly single patient rooms, which several serve very specific functions such as bariatric or isolation units.
